Spent one weekend in beautiful Wellington, this video I made might just do it justice. It claims to be the culture and food capital of New Zealand. Definitely a must do visit for anyone traveling to New Zealand.

I needed to get out of the city, so I climbed in the car and just over one hour after leaving Melbourne I arrived at hanging Rock, the perfect spot for a short day trip to escape the busy city life that Melbourne has to offer. Pack a picnic and parking costs $10.
Hanging Rock (Mt. Diogenes) is a rare volcanic formation located near the townships of Woodend & Mount Macedon in Victoria, Australia.
It is home of the Hanging Rock Cup & Races, and setting of the world renown novel & film Picnic at Hanging Rock. It is also home to various events and a wide array of native flora and fauna. visitmacedonranges
Some shots of the Melbourne new years celebration fireworks looking out from a friends balcony in the CBD.
A friend of mine mentioned they heard about this beautiful place to jump from the rocks into the water along the coast of the Mornington peninsula. With some research I found that National Geographic released its list of the 20 best trips for 2015 and holding its place among the peaks of Zermatt, Switzerland and the tropical paradise of Port Antonio, Jamaica is the region of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, just an hours drive from Melbourne.
The pillars make a great platform to dive into the crystal clear waters of the bay which many locals and travelers take advantage of. Here are some of me best shots of the day. Unfortunately I didn’t make the jump this time but I was happy to sit back and snap away with my camera.
Day to myself with a my new Canon 7D mk2 and I thought what a great way to test it out in the Dandenong ranges at the 1000 steps Kakoda memorial trail. Why not chase a bit of the native wild life around the bush after I had hiked the 1000 stairs while I was at it. Maybe not the wisest choice as it is a very challenging climb. I ended up with some superb shots maybe it should be called 1000 stairs and a 1000 birds with the amount of noisy cockatoos taking over the park. Just a sample of the many shots I took catching them sitting still proved to be a challenge.
What an adventure. After living in the UK for two years and returning home to Australia I decided to embark on a 5 week Euro adventure with a friend of mine to catch up with many long lost pals, and have a holiday. Along the way I was robbed and the camera I was using to make this film and document my travels was stolen, so I lost many good shots in the UK along with my passport and many other valued possessions. Not letting this speed bump get me down I purchased a new camera and emergency passport leaving the rest up to travel insurance to continue my long journey ahead. Many thanks to my mate Tom who was a great travel buddy and an OK camera man, and to all my friends who joined in my travels and gave me free accommodation when I needed it. Enjoy!
When you hear the name Arthur’s seat you probably think of the hill you climb when you visit Edinburgh in Scotland to get a great view of the city. The one in Melbourne is an hour drive from the city but stunning views and fun winding roads is what awaits you.
Just so happens I was in Berlin for the 10 day festival of lights. So me and my friends decided to jump on a city sights bus tour with an amazing guide who showed us around the city and let us get out and take some great shots of the lights. We were not sure what to expect from a light tour, but is seemed like a great idea for an easy night as the one before resulted in a heavy hangover. The featival was so impressive I almost ran out of space on my camera.
Views from the bus window.

Bit of a grim day seeing with my own eyes the place where the worst crime against humanity in history was committed. Over one million people lost there lives here to things like starvation, medical testing, torture, slavery. Very dramatic in black and white.
The furnace
No smiles here
Block after block
Many group tours soaking up some history.
